Salvatore Chirumbolo
Dr Prof Salvatore Chirumbolo, Ph.D. is a Clinical Biochemist, Senjor Researcher at the Department of Medicine of the University of Verona-Italy. He was currently Head of the Laboratory of Physiopathology of Obesity at the Laboratory of Medical Research of the local University (LURM).
He graduated from Bologna University, majoring in biological and genetic sciences in 1990 andearned a High Master PhD in Clinical Biochemistry in 1995, with full praise. From 1991 to 1995, Dr Chirumbolo worked as a research associated at the Université Paris VII Diderot at the Museé National d’Histoire Naturelle and at the Department of Clinical Microscopy at the University of Verona He earned seven fellowship grants for his study on in vitro pharmacology of human phagocytes and platelets. In 1995 he ruled the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the Ospedale Orlandi from the NIH local Research Hospital. He became Chief Director in the managing of HIV and HCV Molecular Biology Laboratory from 1995 to 2000. In 2000 he was the Head Director of the Laboratory of Hematologica and Clinical Research in a local NIH funded laboratory in Verona. He is author of more than 66 papers on Pubmed, member of the Editorial Board of Nutrition, Edorium Journal of Pathology, British Journal of Pharmaceuical Research. He wrote several Book Chapters and a book about the role of water in biological systems and is Member of several Scientific Committee and Societies., Italy
