Professor Hong-Hong (Helen) Zhu
Honghong (Helen) Zhu, M.D., Ph.D., M.H.S., M.Sc. Director, Preventive Medicine Institute, USA. Dr. Zhu was awarded Cancer Research Training Award from the Johns E. Fogarty International Center at the US National Institutes of the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute and became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics/NCI/ NIH, Rockville, MD, USA. Dr. Zhu received her Ph.D. in epidemiology with rigorous training in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, MD, USA, Master of Science in molecular medicine and environmental toxicology at Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA, Master of Medicine in occupational diseases and health-reproductive toxicology and M.D. in preventive medicine /public health with rigorous training in epidemiology from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, P.R. China. Dr. Zhu has been a researcher and professor in epidemiology/public health in different universities/ institutes in USA and China for 24 years. Dr. Zhu has mentored many junior faculty and staff and trained hundreds of scientists and health workers in the fields of clinical medicine, preventive medicine/public health, nursing, basic medicine, food health science and engineering, public service leadership, and other health sciences in the past 23 years. Dr. Zhu has been also devoted to Preventive Medicine Institute which has helped hundreds of cancer and other chronic disease patients battle their diseases. Dr. Zhu loves and is good at writing and editing manuscripts for publication. In addition, Dr. Zhu provided thousands of hours of services such as reviewing and editing manuscripts, providing free health education lectures to the community, and being served on many Department, College, University/Institute and Community/Academic professional committees or initiatives locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally., United States
